In my job hunting pursuits I was at AWN looking at the latest posts in the Carrer Connections. I saw an interesting position that led me to VJC. Love the name.

2) When and how did you first get involved with the Virtual World community?

Research at Ty.com offered understanding of VW’s such as, WOW, 2nd life, Disney’s Virtual Kingdom, Webkinz, and companies like Animax, and Roiworld who provide for virtual world experiences. Read more…

Virtual Job Candy Featured on Second Life TV Network, SLCN TV

Virtual Job Candy was featured on the Second Life Cable Network TV show RL Biz in SL with Cybergrrl Oh. The show was taped on-site at the new Virtual Job Candy Second Life location on September 15, 2008. The show included a tour of the VJC reception area, virtual interview and job fair locations. The entire show runs almost 20 minutes and includes a final ‘hot seat’ segment where Virtual Job Candy owner was asked several business related questions.

Virtual World News: Virtual reality creates real jobs for Boeing

Boeing’s new Virtual Manufacturing Center not only provides a detailed three-dimensional model of yet-to-be created products, but it also shows how to build them.
Employees at the company’s Guidance Repair Center on the Central Ohio Aerospace and Technology Center campus will watch through 3-D glasses on a huge video screen how to assemble a product only in the design phase.
