A leading social networking site with over 7 million unique monthly users and the highest average visit time among social media websites is seeking an Acquisition Marketing Manager to lead the company’s customer acquisition and conversion strategy/execution. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the AMM will create and manage all acquisition strategies through several channels, leveraging the full marketing mix. Strong analytical skills, an understanding of user-site flow dynamics and strong online marketing experience are all required for this role. The ideal candidate will combine classic strategic marketing skills with experience in multi-channel marketing. He/she will have a proven track record of driving successful acquisition strategies and launching products in a similar content portal environment, with demonstrated incremental revenue growth.

Responsibilities:
* Own metric tracking and strategic evaluation of marketing initiatives
* Working closely with UI designers, drive improvements to the home page, landing pages, site registration and activation touch-points
* Create and manage all acquisition strategies through several channels, leveraging the full marketing mix — including online banners
* Increase and optimize all elements of customer acquisition funnel (visitors registrations active users retention rates and re-activation)
* Measures uniques, CPA and conversion rates through each point of the acquisition funnel, engagement measures (time spent, page views), revenue per user, lifetime length of service, viral loop metrics (invites per user and conversion rates, invite touch-point optimization)
* Provide cross-functional leadership with Marketing, Development, Art and UI teams
* Own communication with internal clients (Art, Development and Customer Service) and manage external relationships (such as partner agencies)
* Identify key short- and long-term goals to support specific campaigns and marketing efforts, particularly focused on new customers and lead acquisition
* Submit and manage all creative briefs

Requirements:
* Three to five years of experience working in online consumer media
* Three to five years of experience with online marketing, related to online consumer acquisition, direct response/database marketing, social network and SEO
* Experience in channel-marketing planning is a must
* Proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
* Hands-on experience with managing campaigns across multiple online channels and mixed media
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills; able to read and interpret marketing reports and make recommendations
* Experience handling optimization of response rates and P&L by actively recommending market tests
* A results-oriented self-starter who is reporting and ROI focused
* A motivated contributor with passion and drive to succeed
* An acute sense of lifestyle trends, media savvy, pop culture hit lists and brands
* Excellent communication skills as well as proven project-management skills
* Strong understanding of broader entertainment industry; e.g., games, music, movies, etc.
* Great sense of humor along with flexibility and ability to remain cool under pressure
