A rapidly growing, teen-oriented social networking site is vastly expanding its virtual world and is seeking multiple Project Managers to work closely with the sales team in all critical processes of their sales cycle. This position will be very involved in both pre- and post-sales support activities. The PM will manage the implementation of sold campaigns with the creative, engineering and sales teams. Campaigns will include online banners, sponsorships and product placement deals with companies across multiple industry sectors (CPG, entertainment and retail). In addition, the PM will monitor and analyze performance of individual publishers and the ad network as a whole. Please note that this is NOT a sales position. Ideal candidates will have more than two years of relevant experience in social networking, Web 2.0 or gaming environments; strong analytical, project-management and organizational skills; and expertise with sponsorships and CPM.
Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the sales team in all critical processes of their sales cycle
* Collaborate with sales team to negotiate and close contracts at the appropriate price
* Understand the traffic trends of a site
* Work closely with the media team and retain publishers on the network
* Monitor and analyze performance of individual publishers and the ad network as a whole
* Understand optimization inputs and manipulation, to fulfill publisher inventory allotment objectives
* Help grow the network by joining forums and taking an active position in promoting the company’s site
* Suggest effective strategies to grow business and publisher relationships
* Troubleshoot publisher concerns and delegate tasks to appropriate division within team
* Use feedback from the optimization team to help provide direction on publisher renewals to media team
Requirements:
* More than two years of relevant experience
* Bachelor’s degree in a related field
* Expertise with sponsorships and CPM
* Consultative approach working with media team
* Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
* A good understanding of online marketing; Internet-savvy
* Excellent communication and customer-service skills; able to exchange information with others clearly and concisely
